The idea is simply to show the faces behind our most popular songs, everyone is familiar with pop standards such as 'It's not unusual' by Tom Jones but few realise it was written by Les Reed. I have spent the last few years researching and photographing these songwriters, a continuing project. * some of the portraits have been acquired by the national portrait gallery, london as part of the permanent collection of photography.
