I was struck by the utilitarian nature of this slogan painted on a store window in Havana central.
In a Cuba the government wage is approximately 20$ a month, anything can become a financial emergency, and everything is for sale from dead flowers to your girlfriend’s shoes.
Photographing commerce in Cuba this series of still life express the scarcity of goods, the poverty and need for survival in contrast with the resourcefulness and vibrancy of Cuba and its people.
