At the Gallery

For some time I've been thinking about the ideas of Duchamp and others, who talk about the viewer's response as a key component of a work of art. In 2012 I started work on this series of photographs taken in art galleries; a series all about looking. Visitors to galleries and museums look at exhibits. Through my camera, I look at these visitors - exploring their interactions with the works on display and with the exhibition spaces in which they find themselves. Finally, you as a viewer, look at my photographs and complete my stories.
