Life is full of surprises.
When my Dad died, my mom was very sad, lonely and almost depressed. Some years later her own mom went Alzheimer sick, very needy of care.
This situation became my mom’s new life project. With my aunt, she moved grandma to an apartment in the same building, just one floor above.
She and her sister even transplanted the rosebud from the childhood home to the garden of the new house. They took extremely good care of their mother until the age o 101, when she passed away.
After all the time sharing responsibilities they became really close, like they had never been before. The other siblings have already gone also.
A new friendship, a new partnership grew between them.
This is a story of love, care and solidarity.
A story of true connection.
