Behind the scene

This project is a part of a longtime project with the working title “Behind the scenes”. I want to show the perfomance with closeups but as well the hard work beforehand, which the spectators normally don’t see. To be an actor, a dancer and performing in front of a crowd fascinates me. And in the same time I wouldn’t do it myself. But I‘m utterly interested in the process and project. Especially nowadays as culturis mostly consumed online and not live anymore. I want to show the joyful moments but as well the moments of exhaustion and literally the sweat which lays in a project like this. In this part of the project I followed the dance crew “Kittyking” and “Extraleben” in their ongoing gloomy performance of “The Zero Protocols”. Out of their description:  "The world already ended and nobody recognized it. Until now. You only realize a dream when you wake up from it. And now we are paralyzed. We left a world shattered into pieces.” (Source and full statement: extraleben.ch) The performance was held in the “Funkhaus” in Berlin, in the old recording building of the “DDR Rundfunk” (East Germany Broadcasting Service). It was a part of the Detect festival (https://detectclassicfestival.com).
