This series of entangled power lines in Palestinian camps in Lebanon is inspired by Magnum photographer, Matt Black's broken utility wires in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria: http://www.geographyofpoverty.com/post/169241004953/toa-baja-puerto-rico-broken-utility-wires-for The only difference is that power cuts in these camps are not a result of a storm or any other natural disaster. Rather, it has been part of daily camp life for decades. Black's shots crystallized my own photographic vision: the blend of aesthetic with politics.
