Architecture is one of the identifying signs of a community, enduring elements that end up overcoming the passage of time to become the heritage of the place. Around the beginning of the twentieth century and after almost two centuries of ostracism since the capitulation of 1714, the burgeoning Catalan reflected in the "modernism" this sample of its power resulting from the industrial activity that had pushed back in the Catalan territory . In unison with its European coefficients Art Nouveau and sezecion style, modernism re-launched and positioned Catalan culture and translated into architecture a variety of constructions of civilian scope as a standard of the Society to which they granted a new identity. Residential buildings, colleges, churches, hospitals, auditoriums, factories, holiday homes and rural homes acquired this new language of which these images are nothing more than a small sample of this way of doing on the shores of the Mediterranean in which nature is its reference
