Sites of Southern Wisconsin (1981)
Documenting the vernacular landscape, "Sites of southern Wisconsin: Three photographers view commonplace structures and the built environment" (1980-81) was a collective project of Lewis Koch, David Mandel, and Michael Simon. It was funded in part by Photography Survey, and Photography Exhibition grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission, and the State Historical Society of Wisconsin, which is the repository for the project archives.
