The "Sympathy" series capture the most notorious events affecting the lives of the people portrayed along with a posed portrait. The idea that we should placed our sympathies in a portrait of a stranger is aided with the images of random objects or memories that make up the whole of the person portrayed. This series started after long interviews with the sitter and the idea that a simple studio portrait could not comprehensively tell the tensions and somewhat grandiosity that compose each individual's personality.
