The Bale Mountains (Series)

“The Bale Mountains” is a series showcasing the beauty and diversity of the Bale Mountains of southeastern Ethiopia. This last year (2018) I was introduced to the Bale Mountains, a part of Ethiopia I had never seen before. It is a truly beautiful and inspiring place. This is the beginning of many more trips to this unique landscape and the development of this new series. All photographs are taken on medium and large format cameras with traditional black and white Ilford film. The film is personally, hand developed using Kodak HC-110 developer, then scanned and archived, all within Ethiopia.
