Dignity

Traveling through the Southern part of India, I was taken by the elderly. They are so expressive through the lines in their faces, and the depth of life in their eyes. Using Black and White brought out the character of this lady, who spends her time keeping the village Temple spotless. I was attracted to her hair which contained so much texture, adding to the life lines in the face. Her eyes told the story of the life she had so far led, and her earlobe hinted of times when ear apparel were the norm.
