Submission

I am excited about a new body of photography work that I am developing. The title: “The POWER, GRACE, and ELEGANCE of the Black Woman”. I am excited about this body of work as it is one that I believe needs to have a voice, both visual and narrative. The Black Woman has so many layers…that are too often limited in expression and representation. I want to use the medium of my lens…my eye...our collective light (yours and mine) to illuminate these layers. In order to do this, I need participants that are open to laying bare their emotions…to be willing to explore the depths of their being and to invite me to participate authentically in those “shared moments”. The experience is often heightened through reminiscing, storytelling, listening to a muse in the form of an iconic figure…whether a poet, singer, relative, or your internal urging…the choice is yours in terms of what moves you. Come in and dip your toes into the water of illumination…let us walk this path together into the depths and heights of your own MAJESTY.... Namaste’ Carolyn Miller....
