On Impermanence

Places that are ready to be destroyed new land for new construction, to build what suppose to be the future. Future that China appears as negation of the past. Landscapes for us Europeans shocking, we are the people of the restoration of the conservation, the historical memory, we still have Colosseum. The trip to China has produced in me a series of observations on why? I found the answer in the title, "On impermanence", the Buddhist impermanence that we, sons of Greek culture of " panta rei ", we are forgetting in an arrogant way. Be inside a scenario of this type I brought to mind the words of the Buddha on meditation: " The meditator stops to observe the phenomenon of the rise...stops to observe the phenomenon of passing…stops observing the phenomenon of arising and passing away." One has the feeling of seeing along the passage and the rise; in the face of a changing world , in a world that is built on the rubble past falls every conviction of Western on possession. Despite my being Italian and understand how deeply the preservation of a architectural heritage is essential as testimony of a period of cultural history, understand the why of an attitude, superficial to our eyes, was an important life lesson .
