When viewing this body of work for the first time, people often ask ”Is this a painting or a photograph?” Hence, my name for the series: “Painting or Photograph?” I first created this treatment for my piece called “Hot Nights in Budapest II”, wherein I captured or “bracketed” the same image at seven different exposure levels and used a technique called “High Dynamic Resolution” or HDR, coupled with sequence of proprietary post-production and fine art printing techniques, to produce the final print. When I saw how favorably my collectors responded to the treatment, I decided to produce an ongoing series of pieces that utilize the same capture and post-production techniques.
