"Beyond the Arena"

This documentary project is called, "Beyond the Arena," and examines the life of non-professional actors at the oldest continuously operating theater in Minneapolis MN...The Theatre in the Round (1951). The craft of preparing a role, working through the character in rehearsals and presenting on the stage (the arena) is something that takes years to master: For these community theater actors it is energy of love no less than that which is put forth by actors on the big stages of legitimate theater.
