Navajo Nation Reservation

These are photographs were taken from along side the road while driving north through the Navajo Nation Reservation on U.S. Route 491 in New Mexico. The Navajo Nation (Navajo: Naabeehó Bináhásdzo) Reservation is the largest "Native American territory" (Reservation) within the USA and covers about 17,544,500 acres (71,000 sq km; 27,413 sq mi); it lies in northeastern Arizona, southeastern Utah, and northwestern New Mexico, and has a population of around 350,000 people.
