Forever Young is an ongoing series that investigates notions of home, identity, and maturation. Shot throughout 2014-2015, this series documents childhood peers who have returned, permanently or otherwise, to our hometown. Instead of offering their favorite song lyric, these people chose settings that encompass a memory or an ideal that has influenced their lives thus far. We all grew up alongside one another in Greenport, a small and dense seaport village on the edge of the North Fork of Long Island where no one was anonymous. Now with some experiences in their pockets, they have the critical distance to know the spaces that may carry that raison d'être that helped shape them in a village we all consider home. These environments ground each subject to something significant from our younger years revealing an inner youth despite of their new constructs. As for me, I’m still the yearbook photographer.
