Afternoon snoozing habits vary across cultures, regions and climate conditions. In some parts of the world, life practically comes to a halt in early afternoon. In Southeast Asia, people often doze off a hot mid-day far from the privacy of their bed: in streets, parks, churches, markets and stations. These photos are part of a series that captures people in their most vulnerable state when they are asleep in public places. All of the photographs have a common theme, but each offers a different story to be discovered about life and the world around us. With one exception, the photos are from Thailand.
