Submission

Since 2006 my main photographic project is about representation of abandoned psychiatric hospital in Italy. Thanks to Franco Basaglia and the Law 180, Italy is the only one country in the world without mental asylum. My photographic work try too keep alive these places before time and vandalism erase them. Law 180 is a great achievement, and these places should never be forgotten because are a great historical and cultural resource for us. During these years i saved from being forgotten 14 mental asylum across Italy with photo and historical documentation. Besides photographs, I collect and share tales, stories of people and experiences of this travel. Because those people are part of us. Undoubtedly.
