The Life of Sand

Nature has its own form of reincarnation. Sand is a good example. The sand on every beach is unique. It comes in different colors and textures, depending on the elements that make it up. Rivers bring broken rocks and bits of mineral quartz to the sea to be combined with the remains of ocean dwelling organisms. Heated and liquefied sand becomes glass, which once broken at the beach, again becomes sand.
