Traditions on New Year's Eve

In the last day of the year, dancing and singing, young men and women from villages near Onesti are coming to cast their well wishes to the people, along with musicians. Some of them are dressed festive or bizarre, to chase the bad spirits away. This tradition goes back in time, many symbols have their roots in the pre-christian era.
