North - South

The sun has an effect on our psyche, because it causes the secretion of serotonin enzyme called happiness. People living in those parts of the world where is plenty of sunny days are more kindly, cheerful and friendly. Scientific studies also confirm that the inhabitants of the northern regions of the world where the number of sunny days per year is low, they are less confident, more prone to stress, depression and melancholy. Two-piece design ‘North-South’ is focused inquiry truth of this thesis. In the project 'South' I researched what they are residents of Malta. Portraits were created on the street, in natural light. ‘North’ - the second part of my project - realized in Poland, Świętokrzyskie and Lodz regions. Project, in addition to the actual statement of characterological differences caused of sun and iodine, also shows the effect of color on the kind of emotion shaped by visual message - in this case the photographic portrait. Will our feelings be the same if the person depicted in the key of cold - giving the appearance of a melancholic - is shown in shades of hot?
