Rare Light

During a late mid-October afternoon, as the sun behind me was dropping low in the west and as I drove due east on US Route 50, the light suddenly became magical for about 15 minutes. This part of South-Central Colorado, between Gunnison and Sargents, was set aglow in an etherial light.
