My street work is a are a balance between what I imagine the world to look and reality. This body of work does not represent the world as it is but the world as I would like to see it. They are, in fact, enhanced appropriated moments in time according in my minds eye. They are often dark and dramatic while being illuminating and playful. My street photography captures people who are between the shadows of their environment.These images rely on three basic elements: shape, form and light. It is a minimalistic approach to reframing what is real. I purposely search for individuals who are caught between direct bright light framed by dark urban shadows; focusing on the “in between” light and dark of ordinary daily urban life.
