Rachel Fawn Phillips is a Photographer and Arts Educator based in Newark, NJ.She earned a BFA in Art Education with dual major in Graphic Design, and MPS in Art Therapy, both from the School of Visual Arts. Rachel is on the teaching faculty at Abrons Art Center and at Rutgers University in Newark NJ where she is an Artist Educator at the Paul Robeson Galleries.
A contributor to UntappedCities.com and StreetArtNYC.org, Rachel documents arts and culture as well as other aspects of urban life. 2011-2013, Rachel shot an extensive collection of images documenting 5Pointz Art Center in Queens until it was destroyed by the property owner to develop luxury condos. She is the proud mama of Baxter, the cat who used to live at 5Pointz.
