About Rebecca Silberman

Rebecca Silberman, Professor of Art at James Madison University, is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in modes of creation relating to the history of photography and contemporary investigations into visual perception. She is a recipient of a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship (2019-2020), an Individual Artist's Fellowship from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and was a finalist for a Mid-Atlantic Individual Artist’s Fellowship through the National Endowment for the Arts in 1996. She has been included in many catalogs and articles and her work is featured in the book, ex. hi. volume one, the land of wandering, assembled by the collective of The Printmakers Left and published by University of Virginia Press.
