Richard Andrew Sharum is a photographer in Dallas whose range varies from Documentary Photojournalism to traditional Street Photography. His work is in several private and public collections across the world and has exhibited in Kyoto, Sao Paulo, Reggio Emilia, New York, and Dallas. His commissions include those by The Meadows Foundation, Centers for Community Cooperation, Harvard Law School, Student Conservation Association, Childrens Medical Center (Oncology), Childrens Cancer Fund, Notre Dame School for the Mentally Ill, Austin Street Homeless Shelter, and several others over the years. His publications include those by D Magazine, International Business Times Weekly, The Wall Street Journal, The Dallas Observer, The Dallas Morning News, Spacing Toronto Magazine.
In 2015 Richard Andrew Sharum was awarded the Cultural Projects Grant for the completion of his Observe Dallas 2015 project, which encompassed 8 images printed 40' x 60' and draped on 5 buildings in downtown Dallas for two months. It was the largest photo exhibit in Texas history.
