Robério Braga is from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. His hometown is considered one of the blackest cityes outside of Africa , so his close relation with the black comunity leads him towards African Subjects.
Braga was finalist on Lens CUlture B&W 2018 Award and His works are in some important Brazilian museums like Afro-Brazilian Museum - Ibirapuera, São Paulo MIS - Museum of Image and Sound - São Paulo-Brazil. Braga began his career in 1993 in the Recôncavo Biennial São Félix-Ba Brazil . He lived in São Paulo as director of photography in film and advertising, becoming director in 2003. Today, Braga is part of the selected group of photographers represented by the gallery "Mário Cohen Fine Art", among them the Brazilian photographer, Sebastião Salgado. In 2016 The Conrado Wessel Foundation chose its work among the 10 best of the year in Brazil. in 2018 Braga has just been awarded in one of the most important Brazilian photo competititons "Parati em foco".
