About Saba Hasan

Saba Hasan, a noted contemporary artist has been working across diverse media like painting,photography,book installations, voice works, photography and videos. She has been awarded the National Raza Award for painting 2005, the Pollock Krasner foundation grant 2022 for sculpture and fellowships from Syracuse University, Ecole D’Arts Visuels, Switzerland, the French Cultural Ministry, Paris, with residencies at the George Keyt Art Foundation, Colombo and the Oscar Kokoschka Academy, Austria.
Saba's painting was at the 2013 Venice Biennale collateral show by in the Imago Mundi Foundation; her photograph, walking in deer park received honorable mention at the moscow foto awards 2014; she was nominated for the Celeste Contemporary Art Prize 2014, Milan. Saba's solo of photographs and videos based was presented by the Japan Foundation at the Tensun Okakura Gallery 2016 and she has given photographs for the UN world water campaign. Saba's short film "twilight on the lake" was the official selection for the Chelsea Film Festival and got screened in New York 2018, other short films won awards at the Manheim Film Festival, The Vienna International Film Awards and The Bilbao Centre for Arts, Spain.
