I have been working in photography for many years, I am currently educating young people in their studies of the subject which is very rewarding. Over the last couple of years, and especially during this year I have become interested in the alternative processes in photography and this summer I experimented extensively with the cyanotype process. During this time, I walked and gathered natural material from the hedgerows, my local woods and beach to use in my photography as I printed a prolific number of original cyanotypes on art papers, fabric and now more recently on ceramics. I particularly enjoy the design process of creating a still life with natural materials and especially as the cyanotype results are so different each time which is part of the fascination of the process. I equally enjoy being out in the landscape and photographing my local environment as I see it and perhaps more importantly, as I experience it.
