I am Sara Rasa, a documentary photographer and writer from Afghanistan, now based in France through the Passeport Talent artist visa. My work centers on women and children — the fragile moment when someone lets you into their gaze.
In 2019 I received a bursary from the Embassy of Canada in Kabul for my photographic series on Mazar-i-Sharif. Today, from France, I continue a documentary practice built around a single idea: one image, one story.
