Snezhana von Buedingen, born in 1983 in Perm, Russia, studied Communication Management with an emphasis in Journalism at the University in Osnabrueck. From 2013 she studied at the Fotoakademie Cologne, finishing her Diploma in 2016. Characterized by her international background, Snezhana focuses on documentary and portrait photography, drawing her energy and inspiration from every place, regardless of how large or small. The exploration of people, culture, and life are the central facets of her work.
In 2015, her project “Goodbye my Friend, Goodbye” was among the five finalists for the Felix Schoeller Award in the category Best Up-Coming Talent. The series was recently shown at the Cultural History Museum in Osnabrueck.
In 2016, her project “Women Fleeing“ was nominated and displayed for the Lagois Photo Prize. Most recently, in 2017, her photo project “Khrushchovka” was on the short list for the Sony World Photography Awards in the category of Professional Portraiture.
Snezhana lives and works as an independent photographer in Cologne.
