I was born and live in Rome, Italy, and have always been interested in photography. I started shooting systematically at the end of 1970s , parallel to my architectural studies, discovering the 'magic of the darkroom'. My spiritual guides were Ansel Adams, Edward Weston and Arnold Newman. For many years, black and white was my only means of expression used, considering it essential to control all the creative steps, from shooting to printing.
The advent of digital photography, and its exponential technological evolution, have allowed an interesting opening towards new expressiveness (and later also to color works). Frequent trips, allowed me, until the interruption due to the Covid lockdown, to capture many, different and interesting photographic scenarios, represented in the proposed images.
