I am a Washington-based photographer, writer, and voice actor/narrator.
In addition to cityscapes and alpine and country landscapes, my photography encompasses European and North American motifs, including night scenes, as well as railroad and aviation images.
In exhibiting my work, whether in galleries, on-line, or in photo cards, I derive special pleasure in sharing with others the fruits of those otherwise private moments of looking through the viewfinder.
I continue to shoot film alongside digital. I have loved film for decades, having begun my photography when film was the only means of capturing an image. I've never stopped loving it for its unique attributes and how it forces one to be deliberate. But, to me, shooting film is also a sort of “comfort food” experience that reminds me of the less hurried, less technically “cold” times during which I was learning my craft. I like to think the care that goes with shooting film has also benefited my digital photography.
