About Suzan Orhan

Suzan Orhan is a Turkish street photographer and academic known for her documentaries and conceptual photographic works depicting everyday life and social issues. She has also worked theoretically on “Photographic Representation Fact and The Aestheticization of War within Contemporary Photography” as PhD thesis at Dokuz Eylül University, Institute of Fine Arts (2011). She creates her photographic projects on representation, memory, migration, everyday life, and the human condition. She works as an associate professor at the Department of Visual Communication Design at Sakarya University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture.
