Tommaso Sartori is a Swiss photographer, born in Padua on December 29, 1967 and based in Paris.
Tommaso Sartori’s work focuses on origins, both as a foundation in time and as an ontological principle. Each image contributes to a visual construct wherein the manifold renders a reciprocal and complementary dialectic rapport between parts; opposites coalesce into an unseen unity. The narrator, “I”, structures the sequences of a representational discourse where matter and memory alternately decompose and recompose, forging a newfound anthropoïesis.
Thus, the photographer becomes the primary vector through which each may watch and weave unbreakable bonds between realms distinct in both time and space, fashioning a suspended dimension where harmony and the future emerge as approachable.
Simultaneously chimeric and Platonic, this work charts a journey that embraces doubt, and enlightens our decisions, without seeking answers.
