Tonee Harbert is a photographer living in Portland, Maine. His frequent subjects have been the Maine people and landscape. Harbert's work traverses a line through documentary, editorial and fine art. His latest ongoing photography project features landscapes made with a plastic" Diana" camera.
Harbert's work is in the collections of The Portland Museum of Art and the Farnsworth Art Museum, and has been shown at the Corcoran Museum of Art, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Institute of Contemporary Art at the Maine College of Art, and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. His photographs have been featured in magazines and his photo book "Elmer Walker: Hermit to Hero," in collaboration with Carolyn Chute. In 2012 Harbert was awarded an Emmy award. Harbert received a degree in Visual Communication from Ohio University in 1986.
