About Vivek Goyal

Vivek Goyal is a Singapore-based photographer whose practice is rooted in the relationship between human presence and the natural environment. Born in India and having lived across three continents and world regions, he brings to his photography a sustained curiosity about how communities sustain identity, tradition, and social bonds within the environments they inhabit, while adapting to contemporary realities.

His projects often focus on richness of diverse landscapes and the lives they shape, and examines the subtle, often ephemeral connections between people, place, and ecological systems. He is drawn to the ordinary moment that reveals broader stories of belonging, resilience, and cultural continuity.

Vivek's work has been exhibited at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography; the Salle Jean Despas, Saint-Tropez; and LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore.

He has received recognition from Lensculture Critics' Choice 2026, the GLF Photography Awards, the Scott Dunn Photography Awards, and the WSIS-ITU Photo Awards, and has been a finalist at the Siena Awards.

Alongside his photographic practice, Vivek has spent many years working in the international corporate sector, an experience that has enabled him to travel widely and engage with cultures across the world. This global perspective continues to shape his photography.
