Eddy van Wessel worked with international magazines like Stern, Paris Match, LeMonde2 and The Washington Post Magazine. He was 3 times honored as photographer of the year in 1996, 2004 and 2012 with work from Chechnya, Iraq and Syria.

He now covers the Middle East, with focus on Iraq and Syria.
