My photographs have been created during my longer or shorter journeys and walking trips. And that's what interests me most in them. My work is not focused on images of mass tourism, nor on self-affirmation of the existence of a photographer. They talk about unusual routes and an attempt to choose the most appropriate photographic technique - the medium between the traveler and the recipient. Their task is not only to mediate the image of the world, but rather the experience of the trip itself. They try to expand the range of available paths, but also visual ways of telling stories about them. Paraphrasing Marshall McLuhan - photography becomes the route itself, and the viewer - a traveler on one of these seven roads.
Wisdom and experience I gathered during those trips I sharfe to my students during my lectures and workshops at Univeristy of Warsaw (Poland) where I have honor to work.
