Ximena Echague is a Belgian-Argentine Documentary & Street Photographer, Jury & Curator based in Brussels.
She tries to capture the human dynamic in her photography, made of hopes fulfilled or shattered, with its drama and contradictions—the odyssey of human life.
Ximena’s work has been exhibited worldwide in over 20 countries in Europe, America and Asia, including 4 Individual exhibitions (including the European Parliament, Brussels and the United Nations, New York) and over 70 Group exhibitions. She has been published worldwide.
She was awarded in several photo contests. She was Finalist at the Miami Street Photography Festival, StreetFoto San Francisco, Italian Street Photo Festival, and Brussels Street Photography Festival. She won the Second Prize at the Brussels Street Photography Festival 2019.
She was Curator, Jury, Producer and Mentor of Women Street Photographers based in New York. She was Curator of Fotógrafas LATAM, Latin American Women Photographers, for their first exhibition in Paris in May 2022.
She was jury at several Photography Festivals, including Miami Street Photography Festival 2022.
Part of her photography is in the City of New York Museum, the International Center of Photography, New York, and several private collections.
