About Yoko Ishii

Born in Yamaguchi Japan, 1962. Based in Kanagawa, Japan.
In July 2005, 3 days before my first trip to Madagascar, I bought my first single-lens reflex camera on impulse, just because I wanted to take photos of lemurs. Ever since, I have been fascinated by the view of the world through the lens, and taking photographs of animals in particular. In March 2011, I started a photography project of wild deer living in the midtown in Nara and Miyajima.
