Alexandre Silberman (born 1983) is a director and photographer based in Paris (France). Graduated in Philosophy and Communication, he mainly develops long term documentary projects.
In 2018, his series on scenography of Beauty in Ile-de-France museums, THE GREAT BEAUTY, was the subject of a monographic exhibition at the Moritzhof Gallery in Magdeburg (Germany).
This series was selected in 2019 to participate in the International Photography Festival of Lenzburg (Switzerland)
In 2020, Alexandre Silberman was shortlisted for the Bar Tur Photo Awards, the Palm* Photo Prize, and is one of the ten winners exhibited in New York for the Feature Shoot Street Photography Awards.
In 2021, his series on Seine-Saint-Denis, entitled DIFFERENCES & REPETITIONS, was part of the selection of the festival LES BOUTOGRAPHIES in Montpellier (France), PHOTOMETRIA in Ionnina (Greece) and HEAD ON in Sydney (Australia).
In the fall of 2022, his work was exhibited at ENCONTROS DA IMAGEM in Braga (Portugal), and in early 2023, at PEP in Bruxelles (Belgium).
In November 2023, he won the TAYLOR WESSING PORTRAIT PRIZE, thereby exhibiting at the NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY in London (England).
His work has been published internationally.
