Awoiska van der Molen ( 1972, the Netherlands ) studied architecture and pho-tography at the Academy of fine Arts Minerva in Groningen (NL). In 2000 she was a participant at the photography department at the City University of New York and graduated in 2003 at the MFA Photography at the St. Joost Academy Breda (NL). In 2011 she was a finalist at the Festival International de mode et Photography Hyères, France and won the Alt. + 1000 prize at the Festival de la Photography de la Montagne in Rossinière, CH. In 2014 van der Molen collabo-rated with the Benrido Atelier in Kyoto producing collotypes of her photo works after being the Grand Prize winner of the Hariban Award. Her first monograph ‘Sequester’ came out in September 2014. Her first museum solo show is exhibited at Foam Amsterdam early 2016. Awoiska van der Molen is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
