Every year, across the world, new photographic talents emerge, while previously emerging talents establish themselves in the field. For the past nine years, a key platform in this process has been the Foam Talent Call. Since 2006, Foam has identified hundreds of talented photographers, from all corners of the globe, who have gone on to make their mark on the artistic landscape and pass from “newly discovered” to household names.

This year’s Foam Talents look to be as inspiring as always. Choosing from among 1208 submissions from 67 countries, the jury discovered 21 photographers whose work seemed to offer something special.

Here on LensCulture, we’re proud to present a sampling of these young talents’ work and in the coming week will offer some in-depth features on a few of our favorites. Meanwhile, we’re happy to see that a handful of the Foam Talents have been previously published on LensCulture — David Favrod, Danila Tkachenko, Christian Vium and Heikki Kaski. So, enjoy the work above and then dive in for some more inspiration!
