Cody Bratt was born and currently resides in San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Rhetoric degree with an emphasis in narrative and image from University of California, Berkeley. He is a fourth generation photographic artist whose portfolio encompasses the genres of landscape, portrait, experimental photography. Unreliable memories, displacement, emotional and physical loss and coming of age feature centrally in his work.
He is a four time invite only Phoot Camp attendee, a two time winner of PDN Faces competition (2015, 2016), and a LensCulture 2016 emerging photographer. His work has been exhibited in New York City, Berlin, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago. He'll be releasing his first monograph, Love We Leave Behind, with Fraction Editions in early 2018, which was previously a 2016 CDS/Honickman First Book Prize top finalist.
