These photographs capture color, light and an emotional vibration of American life from the 1970s to the present. Each image compresses a lot of visual information into a flattened plane.

I am immersed in photography with a deep interest in the exploration of color, its personal, commercial, cultural, and emotional vibration in the American social landscape.
I have been passionately engaged with photography since the mid 1970s. I conducted documentary projects in Iowa and Wisconsin receiving several public art grants. Early exhibitions included a one person show at The Madison (Wisconsin) Art Center.
I have exhibited widely since then, and I have received several awards. My color work which started in 2006 has resulted in a recent one person exhibition, "Florida Moments", at The Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in Ft Myers, Florida in January 2013. It featured 76 images, a subset of a large body of work created in the past eight years that I call AMERICOLOR.
I plan to publish this body of work in book form.
