I have been photographing longer than any other activity in my life, and I have been lucky enough to engage in many other passions and professions that enhance and inform my photography. I am largely self taught through reading, collaboration and experimentation, and have received valuable knowledge and inspiration from study with John Sexton, Ray MacSavaney, Brigitte Carnochan, and Mark Nelson.
Recent accomplishments include a night photography workshop for the SPE in Joshua Tree National Park, solo exhibits at the World Affairs Council and the San Francisco Airport Museum, and group exhibits at the Center for Photographic Art, Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, Etherton Gallery, and Yosemite Renaissance. My work has received awards from the Center for Photographic Art, Black and White Magazine, the Black and White Spider Awards, and the Photography Masters Cup Awards. Portfolios have been featured in Black and White Magazine, and I have published articles in Luminous Landscape and Photo Techniques. This portfolio was recently featured online on Viewfind, aCurator, and even mentioned on Politico.
