I have vivid memories of recess at grammar school in the Bronx, NY. I would sit against the fence, intently observing the others at play on the playground. I sat silently, capturing stilled moments of the action before me, usually playful moments of surprise or the unusual. In a way, not much has changed for me. I remain attracted to observing and fixing moments of human activity that play out before me.
Today, I walk the streets, recording both the people and urban landscapes of the city. What caught my eye then, and still does now, is the odd and the quirky within the vibrancy of human activity.
I am an exhibiting photographer living in Raleigh, NC. In addition to exhibiting my work, I also make presentations about my photographs and shooting techniques to photography clubs throughout the state.
