About Julio Meiron

Julio Meiron (juliomeiron@gmail.com) studied Visual Arts and Art History at Universidade de São Paulo (USP). He has exhibited in Madrid, Bremerhaven, Dresden, Pirna, São Paulo, João Pessoa, Brasília etc.
From Raul Soares/Brazil, Meiron lived in Ouro Preto, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and moved to Germany in 2020. He has traveled on foot through Latin America, towards Machu Picchu and the Andes Mountains, where he experienced how the landscape transits, step by step, to gigantic tropical rivers, already in the Amazon.
Julio Meiron has co-developed award-winning projects such as "Expedição Francisco", consisting of a floating art studio on one of the most ecologically endangered Brazilian rivers, the São Francisco.
He has works in collections such as Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo (MAC/SP).
